Daily journal December 10, 2001, The Charleston art scene is mostly traditional, but the new dockside mall has extremely modern controversial art galleries off the wall stuff. If they accept this, then my work should be a dream. Among the horse drawn carriages in the old traditional downtown with its many restaurants and galleries, people are flocking into the art walks to eat the cheese and drink the wine while at the same time not being interested serious art buyers. Most of the art sold in Charleston is of the sweeping Hugo's fury, or the old porches and fences with flowers blooming. I would like to paint that way but the mission in my heart and my soul to send the message that God has put in my heart. The new complex on dock front has four art galleries and at least one of them is showing pure pornography and as gross as I've ever seen. The presence of gay and lesbian art is so very prevalent and dominating until there is no ignoring it. If these people can make such a bold statement about its perverted way of life through the medium of art, then I should be able to paint the truth to provoke the influence of Satan in proclaiming God's Name.

A big sinkhole occurred on meeting Street and it was blocked off. I drove, North leaving the pit back there at such low level. I rode my scooter all over downtown and into the Frances Marion newly restored hotel as a Westin with the same owner as restored the Poinsett Hotel. I ask the room rates for future information and was told $120.00 per day but they go up depending on whether or not there was an event in town. Across the street is the marketplace newly developed by the city in the park and some artist was displaying there. During the summer it is a farmer's market with fresh vegetables. I had lunch at the Beaumont gourmet Restaurant near East Bay Street for a bowl of oyster stew and real bread-n-butter and a unique pot of coffee. I know, I've forgotten my own advice.

I meet so many people with walking problems and diabetes very serious. I perceive that diet drinks aggravate if not cause these conditions. A 'victims list' is appropriate because everyone in that phone book is a victim of our processed foods and hyperactive sugar and very few people I notice get a proper amount of whole natural citrus vitamin C. Digestion is the beginning of good health in my opinion. I recommend digestive enzyme EPN by waterOz natural like minerals. Enzymes consist of good Flora or bacteria, that aids in the digestion of foods to feed the body after we have eaten foods with good nutrition without the poison such as processed chloride table salt by Morton. I have heard this week that pasteurized milk causes mucus to develop. I will write the waterOz description of minerals in my next few journals. My journals carry a prayer and scripture reading each day for our devotion to God in Bible study with prayer and commentary and reciting what I find and believe to be good health advice. William Halsey show here at Eva Gardner Gallery and I bought one of his books published by the Greenville County Art Museum, cost $20.00, hardback with 100 pages. A caption in the book read "If a painting requires a description, then it is not a good painting". This is the Lord's Prayer! Let us pray this prayer first and most and use this the Lords prayer as a guide to all our prays to be in harmony.
